Sofia joined Eric Parry Architects in 2006 and was appointed Associate Director end of 2022. Sofia has successfully led projects of all scales from small high-end private residences to large, prestigious residential and hospitality projects.
Sofia’s more recent projects have included the delivery of the business and wellness areas at the Chelsea Barracks residential development with a state-of-the-art underground Sports Hall, spa and gym facilities. Sofia has also led international projects such as the design of the new Ambassador’s Residence for the British Embassy in Beijing (a competition won by the practice in 2019). On a smaller scale, Sofia was the Project Architect for the remodelling and interior fit-out of a duplex apartment on Eaton Square in the Belgravia Conservation Area for a private client.
Sofia has gained extensive experience in residential and hotel developments, including two large-scale projects in central London. She led on the interior design of the new Spa at the top of the Four Seasons Hotel in central London, housed in a new rooftop extension also designed by Eric Parry Architects. The work included sourcing and specifying all the finishes, furniture and fittings for use in the Spa. She was also responsible for the interiors concept for a residential project for Msheireb Properties in Qatar, part of the wider redevelopment of the centre of Doha.
Sofia’s projects have enabled her to work closely with manufacturers and artisans, and she has gained a deep understanding in the field of interiors. She has also been involved in several of the practice’s competitions, including proposals for the redevelopment of Sherborne House Hotel in Dorset and the winning scheme for the redevelopment masterplan of the Hotel Suvretta House in St Moritz in Switzerland.
