Dónal studied at Queen’s University Belfast and qualified as an architect in 2018. He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland.
Before moving to London in 2015, Dónal worked on set designs for a Universal Pictures feature film production in Belfast and gained site experience during restoration of a listed church in his hometown of Omagh.
In his previous role at Squire & Partners, Dónal contributed to the design and construction of substantial mixed-use and prime residential developments including The Broadway and Number One Palace Street.
Since joining Eric Parry Architects in 2020, Dónal has worked on the Salisbury Square Development for the City of London Corporation. During planning and tender stages, he has taken a lead role coordinating substructure and services throughout the extensive basement. He has also developed proposals for landscape elements within the public realm and worked collaboratively to address complex interfaces between the proposed buildings and their surrounding urban context.
