Timothy Taylor Gallery
The Timothy Taylor Gallery in Carlos Place, Mayfair, first opened its doors with a show by the renowned post-war American painter Alex Katz. The light and elegant gallery sits within the shell of a former bank building located just off Grosvenor Square in the Mayfair Conservation Area. The space is designed as a neutral backdrop to the art on display and can accommodate large two- and three-dimensional works of art.
The total scheme occupies 615 sqm and includes viewing rooms, office space, painting storage, staff facilities and a workshop. The public and private areas are spread over ground and lower-ground floors and linked by a solid oak staircase. This was the second gallery Eric Parry Architects designed for Timothy Taylor.
