Robert studied architecture at Cambridge University and Harvard, US. He was appointed Director in 1997 following 8 years architectural experience within the practice.
Robert has worked on a number of the practice’s award winning schemes, most notably Foundress Court for Pembroke College, Cambridge, the phased refurbishment of the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park and 30 Finsbury Square, which won numerous awards on its completion in 2003.
He is currently leading the £36m refurbishment and conservation of Gibbs’ Grade I listed St Martin-in-the-Fields church and crypt including reconstruction of the below ground spaces; rationalisation and extension of the Grade II listed Nash Terrace and reordering of the publicly accessible spaces. He is also working on the new mixed use building at 23 Savile Row, an office building on Fenchurch Street and proposals for Selfridges & Co. on Oxford Street.
Robert has taught in architecture studios at both the University of North London and University of Cambridge.
