Eric Parry Architects has designed London’s first gallery specialising in museum-quality Modernist design dating from the 1940s to the 1960s. Situated in the heart of Mayfair, the Sebastian + Barquet gallery comprises 66 sqm of versatile exhibition space as well as offices and a private viewing room. The design created a new front to the gallery and the building’s interiors were designed to provide flexible spaces for exhibiting seminal pieces of Modernist design. The gallery opened in October 2008 with an inaugural exhibition of American Modernist design curated by Eric Parry.
