Eric Parry Architects were appointed in June 1999 by Scottish Widows to design a new office building on what would occupy one half of the east side of Finsbury Square, London. The square was laid out in the 18th century as a residential square and has become in the 20th century, due to its location , an important commercial centre close to the City of London.
